Hello
I am new to this forum. I have a SRP-2401CI+.
I am french, I speak english, but not german....
I couldn't find any french Topfield forum. I found english forums, but they don't seem to know the SRP-2401, they have other models.
I have questions concernings the softs on PC to edit service lists, which "destroy" many of my settings when I try to load a .std file on the SRP.
I also cannot have TAPs run on the SRP, but are they compatible with this model ?
Are there people on this forum who can answer in english or french, or could you redirect me to a more appropriate one ?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Alain, welcome to the forum.

As far as I understand your problem, this could be caused by version 2.40 of Vega.

If you use Version 2.39 (download here) everything should be fine.

Re. TAPs: all TAPs for the SRP-2100 should run on your 2401 except those that handle PiP (Picture in Picture) which is not supported by the 2401.

You must get the right TAPs, not the old TAPs that work for the 5000/6000 series.

If your SRP is connected to your LAN, you should start with installing TAPToDate. Once TAPToDate is working, it installs all TAPs that you want and keeps them up to date.

Hello, thank you for the answers, they helped me.
First, concerning the TAPS, TAPToDate is really a wonderful soft, it's a pleasure to install TAPs with it.
I tried SmartEPG, and liked it, the GUI is fine, much better then the original EPG and info box ! Sadly, we are not lucky in France, as the transponders generally only emit data concerning the current program and the next one... So the automatic scanning SmartEPG makes once a day (or rather a night) on the channels selected in the channel list is almost useless, and every time I want to use the EPG, I have to ask for a manual scan, which is not very friendly...
The original EPG seems to cope better with this limitation, as when you move the selection on a service, the current program and the next one are shown after 4 or 5 seconds. I hoped SmartEPG would work in the same way, as the doc says that EPG data are updated in the background if you stay on a channel for at least one minute (and if you have not deactivated it, point 23 ot the setup menu). But this doesn't work for me, and I end with a nearly empty EPG page until I ask for a manual scan... Does I make something wrong ?
I have another question concerning discrete codes. I automatize my home cinema with a MX-980 remote controller, and I need two different codes for power on and power off, instead of the code for toggle power, which quickly desynchronize everything. I found two TAPs, DiscreteON_5K and DiscreteON_MP, which could perhaps help me. But the doc is almost inexistant, and I can't figure out what they do, and how I can use them. If I could have the hexadecimal code (Philips Pronto format for instance) to turn On and Off the SRP-2401 it would be fine...
