Hier sind die Ergänzungen zu Gerti's T2D Anleitung damit man Untertiteln auf dem DVD brennen kann.
Problematiken - 1. Schneiden; 2. Untertitel Farben.
1. Schneiden.
Ich habe nicht herausgekriegt wie man die Untertiteln die aus Phase 1 (Demux) erstellt wurde in MPEG2Schnitt mitschneiden kann. Also die MPEG2Schnitt muss man überspringen.
Stattdessen kann man:
a. im Topfield vor der Übertragung schneiden oder
b. gar nicht schneiden oder
c. im neuesten ProjectX (_90.3.00) schneiden.
Ich habe die dritte Möglichkeit benutzt, aber dafür muss man die neueste ProjectX downloaden (und kompilieren).
2. Farben.
IFOEDIT übernimmt nicht automatisch die Untertitel-Farben aus den Untertitel-Dateien. Das hört sich nicht schlimm an, aber die Ergebnisse sind Untertiteln in den der Hintergrund-Farbe gleich ist wie die Buchstaben - also nicht lesbar. Über ein paar Extra-Schritte kann man diese Problem umgehen und sehr gute Ergebnisse erziehen.

BTW: It's worth trying this with a short recording to test first to check this works for your station.
1. Demux.
Before you demux - in ProjectX click on the rec file to see a summary of the rec header. This includes the subtitle teletext pages which you need to specify later. Sometimes there are two pages - one for information and the other for the subtitles. You may need to use trial and error to determine which is which.
In my case I had eng_i100 and eng_s888 - page 888 was the subtitle page (maybe s represents subtitles and i information).
In the presettings add this page number (e.g. 888) into the first of the 6 telextext pages to decode.
Select the SUP export format.
Select 16 colours.
Demux as usual (you'll now have an additional sup/ifo files produced).
2. Edit
Skip this phase!
3. Authoring
When you add the video and sound tracks to be authored add the new sup file to the subtitles. Specify the correct language for the subtitles on the left hand side.
After the rendering is complete you'll see the two trees as usual.
Trick to retain colours:
Before you work on the two trees open the SUP.IFO file using the 'open' button (ignore all the warnings by saying no to the case conversion). You don't change this file or save it. You just use it to select the subtitle colours.
Expand it. Expand the VTS_PGCITI branch (top frame). Click on the PTS_VGC_1 entry. Now select subtitle-colour -> copy from the menu (the first part of the cut and paste action).
Now select the VTS_01_0.IFO file (not SUP)
Expand it. Expand the VTS_PGCITI branch (top frame). Click on the PTS_VGC_1 entry. Now select subtitle-colour -> paste from the menu (the second part of the cut and paste action).
Thats it. Now you can continue with from the section:

Check your files using the dvd player on the pc before burning. It should allow you to switch the subtitles on and off as you like and it should show the subtitles in different colours too (to represent the different speakers).
